An excellent quality mahogany wheel barometer.

The 8" diameter silvered brass dial calibrated from 28" to 31" with usual weather indicators and unusually engraved with the makers name and address to the base of the dial. The dial also with a brass set hand and a blued steel indicator hand. The silvered brass thermometer scale calibrated from 0º to 110º Fahrenheit and mounted in a removable box. The brass bezel with a convex glass. The mahogany case of flame veneer and with double edge ebony and boxwood stringing. The broken swan next top with ivory paterea and a central ivory finial.

Note: Richard & Henry are listed as working at 12 Wilson Street, Grays Inn Road, London from 1829-1855. They are listed as Engravers which explains the unusual position for the name and address.
