A very rare early mahogany stick barometer
The silvered brass scale calibrated from 28" to 31" with a sliding vernier. The mahogany case with exposed mercury tube, early shaped mahogany cistern cover and architectural top with central brass finial.
Note: Working from 1746 – 1811. Optician and Instrument Maker. Apprenticed to John Cuff (an important Instrument Maker).
