An excellent 17th century antique marquetry Grandfather clock.
The 8 day duration movement with five pillars and with inside countwheel striking on the hour on a bell. The 11Â¼" square brass dial with silvered brass chapter ring and seconds ring. The matted centre with ringed winding holes and engraving to the date aperture. Signed on the chapter ring. The walnut, marquetry and ebonised case profusely decorated with flowers, foliage and birds. The flat top hood with gilt wood capitals to the ebonised columns and glazed sides.
