18th Century Antique Stick Barometer by Peter Dollond of London

An excellent 18th century antique mahogany stick barometer.

The silvered brass scale calibrated from 27" to 31" and incorporating a sliding vernier. The mahogany case with exposed mercury tube, mahogany cistern cover and architectural top with central brass finial.

Note: The son of John Dollond. A fine Instrument Maker and was made Optician to King George III and the Duke of York. Born 1730. Died 1820.
