A fine London 18th century longcase clock with rare moonphase feature to the arch.
The 8 day duration 5 pillar movement striking the hours on a bell. The arched brass dial with separate silvered brass chapter ring. Also with seconds and date. The arch with rare feature showing the phases of the moon.
The excellent mahogany case with long trunk door flanked by reeded and inlaid brass quarter columns. The base with raised panel and double plinth. The hood with brass inlaid angle pillars and pagoda top with sound fret and three brass ball finials.
