Carter of Salisbury Oak Longcase Clock
A very pretty and small provincial oak longcase clock from the well known and Historical City of Salisbury.
The 8 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell and with a 12" square painted dial displaying gilded fruit and flowers to the corners, blued steel hands, seconds, date aperture, makers name and place of work. The plain oak case of good colour with a long trunk door and a plain base with shaped single plinth. The hood with separate oak pillars capped with brass Doric capitals, a glazed hood door and a removable swan neck pediment with a brass eagle finial.
