An excellent quality and small London table clock.
The 8 day duration fusee movement with verge escapement striking and repeating the hours on a bell. Also with Strike/Silent feature accessible above the dial. The backplate with engraved border, pendulum hook and with retailers name engraved to the centre.
The round painted dial with Roman chapters and matching blued steel hands.
The mahogany case with broken arch top surmounted by a handle and brass bordered pad. Brass sound frets to the front and sides with brass ogee feet.
Note: This clock was retailed by Harris of London but the movement was made by William Robson. He was an accomplished clockmaker and was Master of the Clockmakers company three times. He is known to have made movements for well known makers such as McCabe.
